How to Control Air Series fixtures from an iOS Device

The AirApp is a simple and intuitive app to control your ColorKey Air Series fixtures using your iOS device. The AirApp requires the AirHub DMX to operate. The AirHub DMX is the central control hub of the Air Series, allowing control of auto programs, integration with any DMX controller, and controlling lights from an iOS device.

Follow these 3 easy steps to get started with the AirApp

  1. Download and install “AirApp for All” from the App Store Here
  2. Ensure App control is enabled on the AirHub. Turn on the AirHub and press the down button until you reach the App menu item. Press enter and use the up or down button set to On. Press Enter to save.
  3. Join the AirHub’s Wi-Fi network on your iOS mobile device, navigate to your Wi-Fi Settings and connect to Wi-Fi network AirAppXXXX. The password is 12345678

You’re now ready to start controlling your lights. Open AirApp and select LED Uplights. From there you’ll have access to a color palette, a dimmer, and faders to control individual colors, strobe, and auto programs.

How to use the AirHub DMX as a receiver for wired fixtures

The AirHub functions as a DMX receiver when the DMX output of the AirHub is connected to the DMX input of a lighting fixture.

To use the AirHub as a receiver, simply connect a DMX cable from the DMX Output of the AirHub to the DMX Input of your lighting fixture. Set the desired address on your fixture, and set the wireless group ID on the AirHub to the same group ID as your transmitter.

How to use the MobilePar Mini HEX 4's IRC Remote

Be sure to point the remote directly at the LED surface of the light. The infrared receiver is located in the center of the four LED’s.

Please see this quick video demonstrating procedure to use the IRC Remote with the Colorkey MobilePar Mini Hex 4 fixture.

These instructions apply to most fixtures.

How can I get the best performance from my Dazzler FX?

  • Ensure that you are using ColorKey Dazzler FX Cold Spark Powder [CKU-7800]
  • Be sure to keep track of wireless Remote receiver. If it gets lost, you will need to contact ColorKey

How can I tell if my PartyBar GO is charging/ has charged?

  • A single LED Charging Indicator can be found on the back of your PartyBar GO
    • While plugged into power and illuminated (red), this is indicating your PartyBar still needs to remain connected to power for charging.
    • While plugged into power and illuminated (green), this is indicating your PartyBar is fully charged and ready to party.
  • A LED Battery Life Indicator display can be found on the back panel, located to the right of the Main Menu. All lights will be illuminated to green when at full charge.
  • Your PartyBar GO can be used while connected to power for charging*.
  • Charging time is about two hours to full.

How can I get the best battery life from my PartyBar GO?

To reach maximum life for your unit, it is recommended to be used in a static color mode setting. Simply setting your PartyBar to one color and letting it run continuously on that color only will help maximize the runtime of your light between recharging. *We find that Auto Program and Sound Active modes draw more power due to their constant changing of the LED and shorten the overall use life of the product between recharges.

Why do I see code LF80 and L120 on Kraken FX at startup?

Seeing either of these codes means your light has been powered on in slave mode (SL1 or SL2).Please make sure the fixture is set to “Master” mode if you wish to use it independently. To set you light as Master follow the following steps:Press the ‘Menu’ button to scroll to “SLNd”
Then press ‘Enter’ button.
Then scroll using the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ buttons to select “MAST”.
Then Press the ‘Enter’ button.
