Technical Questions

All ColorKey Pars will pass DMX signals for daisy chaining, But, ColorKey programming is unique to each model.
Can I mix colors on these pars without a controller?
The TC3 is the only par that will mix colors withuot a controller. The LiveSpot line has 99 color presets while the StagePar line only has 7 color presets.
Will ColorKey help me determine how many lights I need?
ColorKey is a manufacturer not a production company, but we are always happy to help when we can. However, we suggest you contact one of our Dealers for help with design by clicking here.
If these pars lose power or the DMX signal will they hold the last setting?
Yes, all of the ColorKey pars will hold the last setting when the DMX signal is cut off or the cable is unplugged. However, they will only hold the setting briefly if power is lost.
Why are the mounting bars so long and why are there two of them?
ColorKey has made sure that our mounting bars or yokes are long enough to allow them to pass over a DMX plug to give them a full range of motion. Also, having the 2 mounting bars creates a simple and stable floor stand for up lighting.
How well do these pars do white light?
White is one of the most difficult colors to produce using RGB LED's and is often pinkish or bluish in hue. For this reason, ColorKey has developed the LiveSpot line which produces a balanced and true white using RGB color mixing.
Does ColorKey have an all white LED unit or an RGBA unit?
We are always developing new products. Please check out the news section here or join our newsletter here for up to date information on up and coming products.
